Brockville – The City of Brockville is making significant investments to upgrade and modernize local infrastructure. Here is an update from the city on the current infrastructure projects.

King Street West Watermain Replacement:

A $625,000 project is now underway between Oak and Cedar Streets to upgrade aging pipes, storm sewers, and road surfaces. This project is expected to be completed by the end of September.

Main Pumping Station Redesign:

Design changes are being made to reduce environmental impact, respond to resident feedback, and meet new safety codes.

Airport Terminal Redesign:

A design project will deliver a new, accessible terminal at the Thousand Islands Regional Airport to replace the outdated 1960s building, supporting expanding needs, including air ambulance.

Reynolds Park Pavilion & Boardwalk:

The project is being revised after tender bids came in over budget. A new design and tender will be issued later this year.

Other Projects:

Other major projects underway include the William Street bridge rehabilitation, currently ahead of schedule and improvements to the exterior of the Brockville water tower.

Both projects received some provincial and federal funding.

Summer is busy in the city, and these projects demonstrate the  Council’s commitment to building a stronger, more resilient Brockville for today and tomorrow.
