Brockville – On August 22, 2025, at about 2:30 pm, police received a 911 call in relation to a customer who had assaulted an employee at a local business in the North end of Brockville.
A 66-year-old male attended the business to dispute the services he was billed for. The male was agitated on arrival, belligerent with staff and found to have been under the influence of alcohol.
One staff member attempted to calm the situation and escort the male out of the store. This resulted in the subject turning nose-to-nose and then shoving the staff member. At that point, a physical altercation ensued that ended shortly after. No one was seriously injured, and the subject left the store.
Police attended the area and located the subject nearby. He was placed under arrest, which he initially resisted, but officers quickly gained control. The male was learned to be on various court-imposed conditions through bail and probation.
As a result, the male was held for a bail hearing after being charged with assault, resisting arrest, failure to comply with release order, failure to comply with probation and public intoxication.
