Gananoque – Police reports from the Gananoque Police Service from August 20th to September 17th, 2025.

Failure to Comply:

On August 20th, 2025, a summons was issued by the court for a 33-year-old person from Gananoque for failing to comply with probation. They were served and released on the document on August 22nd, to be seen in court at a later date.

Spousal Assault/Uttering Threats:

On August 21st, 2025, the Gananoque Police Service received a report of numerous incidents of intimate partner violence that occurred over the last several months. As a result of an extensive investigation, a 23-year-old person from Gananoque was arrested on August 30th and charged with Assault – spousal x 3, Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal, Mischief – destroys or damages property, and Sexual assault. The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions.

Traffic Stop Results in Several Charges:

On August 29th, 2025, officers conducted a traffic stop and identified one occupant who was wanted by the Brockville Police Service for two counts of Theft Under $5,000. That individual was also bound by conditions not to associate with the second occupant.

The second occupant initially provided officers with a false name and date of birth. Once properly identified, it was determined that they were also a suspended driver and were wanted for the same charges by Brockville Police.

As a result, both subjects were arrested, and the 40-year-old person from Brockville was charged with Obstructing a peace officer and Driving while under suspension and released on an undertaking.

The second 40-year-old person from Brockville was charged with failing to comply with the undertaking and held for a show cause bail hearing to answer to both Gananoque and Brockville’s charges.

Breaching Conditions:

On September 2nd, 2025, officers received a report of a 31-year-old person from Seeley’s Bay breaching their conditional sentence order by contacting the victim. On September 4th, officers arrested the accused, who was then taken for a show cause bail hearing.

Theft of a Motorcycle:

On September 3rd, 2025, the Gananoque Police Service received a report of a stolen motorcycle that occurred overnight. Later that day, officers located and recovered the stolen motorcycle.

An investigation was conducted, and on September 16th, a 31-year-old person from Gananoque was arrested and charged with Theft of motor vehicle and Failure to comply with probation order x2. They were released on an undertaking with conditions, to be seen in court at a later date.

Youth Charged with Assault:

On September 17th, 2025, officers responded to a local group home for a report of an assault on staff members. Officers attended and arrested a 12-year-old person from Gananoque for the violent incident, and they were charged with: Failure to comply with undertaking x4, Assault x2. They were released on an undertaking with conditions.
