
Brockville – Brockville Police had multiple calls on October 18th in relation to a 37-year-old man who had been causing disturbances at the Brockville General Hospital and the Brockville Fire Department throughout the evening.
Police say around 9:00 pm on Saturday, they responded to the Brockville Fire Department on Perth Street after the man attempted to enter the building. The staff there secured the building and called the police for assistance. According to police, the man had previously caused issues at the Brockville General Hospital.
When the police arrived, they located the man and arrested him for mischief and causing a disturbance. Police then said that the man experienced a medical event and was taken to the Brockville General Hospital, again.
While at the hospital, the man became agitated and assaulted a nurse by shoving her in front of the officers. The nurse was not seriously injured, according to police.
Police remained on site with the subject in custody until he could be assessed by the doctor. Once able, he was charged with assault and released from police custody with a future court date.
They say no charges were laid in relation to his actions at the Brockville Fire Department.
