Prescott – The South Grenville Junior Rangers lost a 4-3 decision in overtime to the St-Isidore Eagles on Saturday in NCJHL action in Prescott.
Wyatt Nolan (Louis Tumber, Ty Chevrier) and Ethan Vachon (Peter Ford, Justin Van Luit) scored the first two goals for South Grenville in the first period. The Eagles scored one in the first on a goal by Felix Tessier (Hugo Gagne, Vincent Bastien). The Junior Rangers lead 2-1 at the end of the period.
In the second period, St-Isidore scored two from Owen Corput (Anthony Marcos, Samuel Bisaillon) and Sydney Benoit (Eloi Cayer) to lead the game at 3-2 at the end of the period.
In the third period, Mason Wight (Ethan Wooller, Wyatt Nolan) would tie the game up 3-3 on his lone goal of the period.
It was Yanick Marion (Vincent Bastien) who would score the winning goal for the Eagles in overtime.
The Junior Rangers will host the Morrisburg Lions this Friday night at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
