
Brockville – Recently, the Brockville Police Service has laid charges in multiple impaired driving incidents.
On November 23, 2025, at about 1:30 am, police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Stewart Boulevard. The vehicle was observed for a short period, and it was noticed that the vehicle was swerving and crossing the painted center lines.
The vehicle was followed and stopped. It was determined that the 48-year-old male driver had been consuming alcohol. A breath sample was taken at the roadside by an approved screening device, which resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested, and when searched, a quantity of cocaine was located and seized. He was taken to the Brockville Police Service for additional breath testing.
As a result, it was determined that the driver was impaired and operating while
over the legal limit. The vehicle was impounded, the driver’s licence was suspended, and the driver was released with a future court date after being charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg
- Possession of cocaine
Further, on November 23, 2025, at about 9:15 pm, police received a 911 call regarding a single vehicle collision in the area of Kensington Parkway and Centennial Road. Information was that a vehicle had failed to stop for the northbound stop sign on Kensington Parkway.
The vehicle failed to stop, crossed Centennial Road and came to a stop in the ditch. A female was observed staggering around in the roadway shortly after.
Officers arrived and located the vehicle and the female described. Investigation revealed that the 30-year-old female was, in fact, the driver of the vehicle. It was determined that she had been consuming alcohol and failed a roadside breath screening.
She was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for additional testing. This testing confirmed that she was driving while impaired.
As a result, the vehicle was impounded, the driver’s licence was suspended, and the driver was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. She was released with conditions and a future court date.
