
Westport – The Westport Rideaus lost both of their games in the NCJHL over this past weekend.
On Friday night, they lost 7-4 to the Cumberland Castors, and on Saturday, they lost 5-2 to the Vankleek Hill Cougars.
The Rideaus lost a 7-4 decision to the Cumberland Castors on Friday night in NCJHL action.
Scoring the four Westport goals were 19 Connor Jackson (11 Jack Leonard, 71 Tyson Verch), 19 Connor Jackson (26 Noah Cyr), scoring two goals in the first period. One goal by 26 Noah Cyr (19 Connor Jackson) in the second period and one goal in the third period from 81 Jack Storie (12 Lane Morency, 18 Ben Peladeau).
Saturday, Westport lost 5-2 to the Vankleek Hill Cougars at the Vankleek Hill Arena.
27 Ethan Fowler (16 Robert Onion, 18 Ben Peladeau) and 91 Braden Belot (12 Lane Morency) scored the two Rideau goals, both in the first period.
Westport will host the Morrisburg Lions this Friday night, starting at 7:30 pm at the WTC Communications Centre.
