VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Braves Defeated Ottawa 5-2 on Friday Night in CCHL

Brockville – The Brockville Braves defeated the Ottawa Jr. Senators 5–2 on Friday night at the Brockville Memorial Centre.

Video Highlights Courtesy of Phil Brennan:

The Braves’ fourth win in a row; they built an early lead and are holding off a second-period push. Brockville struck three times in the opening frame with goals from Vohra, Dervish, and Lumsden.

Ottawa responded in the second period as Lachapelle and Rice scored to cut the deficit to one, but Dervish restored the two-goal cushion late on the power play. Vohra sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final two minutes.

In goal, Caley stopped 18 of 20 shots for Brockville. Ottawa split duties between Nolan, who made 10 saves on 13 shots, and Grant, who turned aside 12 of 13.

It was a top performance by all, from the goalie (Austin Caley) out, but it was the unsung line of vets, Dervish, Lowry and Vohra that grabbed the headlines.

The Braves travel to Navan on Sunday afternoon to face the Grads. The puck drops at 3:30 pm.
