Brockville – The Brockville Fire Department (BFD) responded to a working structure fire near the corner of Pearl Street West and William Street beside the Quickie Sunday night around 11:50 pm.
This is the second time the fire department responded to the same house on fire at 46/48 Pearl Street West. The first time was back in August.

The BFD spent all night fighting the fire with help from the Elizabethtown-Kitley Fire Department and the Augusta Fire Department. On arrival, flames could be seen coming from the second floor of the abandoned house.
BFD said that the fire was under control around 7:55 am this morning.
“Police attended the scene to assist the Brockville Fire Department in preventing access to the area. This fire has required significant efforts to control. The investigation will be ongoing and led by the Office of the Fire Marshal. No injuries have been discovered at this time; however, this investigation is in the early stages and not complete. We ask the public to please remain out of the area throughout the investigation while responders restore safety,” said Brockville Police.
Pearl Street West is still closed at William Street and Buell Street, along with Buell Street between Brock Street and Pearl, and Brockville Police are asking everyone to avoid this area.
William St. is also closed at Pearl St. W. and Church St. to allow emergency crews access to water lines.
We will post more information as it becomes available.
