Brockville Braves Won One & Lost One at the CCHL Showcase Over The Weekend

Rockland – The Brockville Braves won one game and lost one game over this past weekend at the CCHL’s annual showcase in Rockland.

Each season, the CCHL hosts the annual showcase at a league venue to demonstrate the calibre of talent within the organization. For the 2025-26 season, this event was held at the Rockland Arena (CIH Academy) in Rockland, Ontario.

All 12 teams compete in two games over the weekend, providing exposure to scouts and recruitment officers from NHL, NCAA, CIS, and Major Junior programs.

The Braves scored four unanswered goals to defeat the Hawkesbury Hawks 4–2 on Saturday afternoon at the Rockland Arena.

After Hawkesbury took a 2–1 lead late in the first period, Brockville responded with two goals from Carolan in the second and an early power-play marker from Buller just 25 seconds into the third. Caley made 32 saves to earn the win, while Gelinas had 16 saves in the loss.

The Navan Grads defeated the Brockville Braves 4–3 in a shootout Sunday at the Rockland Arena. Brockville struck first in the opening period, but Simons answered for Navan on the power play to tie it. Kaufman added two key goals, including the game-tying score late in the third, while Carolan and Vohra kept Brockville competitive.

After a scoreless overtime, D’Urso converted in the shootout to secure the win for Navan. Hodgins made 20 saves on 23 shots, and Caley stopped 23 of 26 for Brockville. Navan outshot the Braves 27–23 and capitalized on one power-play goal.
