Brockville – On December 21, 2025, at about 11:00 pm, police received a report of an alarm at the Treasure Hunt store, located at 2399 Parkedale Avenue.
Officers attended, and it was noticed that there was a substantial amount of water leaking out of a wall. City of Brockville staff attended and assisted in shutting the water off to the area.
Further investigation revealed that the pipes that were leaking had been intentionally cut. There was evidence of people formerly sleeping in the building, and that suspects had also been in the ceiling, stealing copper. It appeared as if there was copper that was staged in an area that was intended for it to be taken.
Items were seized for identification purposes, and the investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information they wish to provide to police, you can do so by calling the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
