YMCA of Eastern Ontario Inspire the Future Campaign Exceeds Goal!

Kingston/Brockville – The YMCA of Eastern Ontario recently announced that generous supporters from communities across the region raised over $468,000, surpassing their campaign goal of $435,000 by 7%, through their annual Inspire the Future fundraising campaign in support of community health and well-being.

“The generosity of our community continually moves us,” said Rob Adams, CEO, YMCA of Eastern Ontario. “Inspire the Future is about more than fundraising; it’s about creating opportunities. Thanks to our donors, more children, families, youth and seniors can access programs that support their health, build confidence, and strengthen connections. This is community care in action, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.”

In 2025, YMCA members and program participants of all ages experienced the impact of this collective support. Donations provided financial assistance to 2,780 individuals and families, subsidized 287 weeks of summer camp, and supported the delivery of more than 30,000 meals to youth, helping ensure children had access to safe, supportive environments where they could learn, grow, and belong.

“Each contribution has a real and lasting impact,” Adams added. “Supporters help remove barriers to participation, giving children the chance to build confidence at camp, supporting seniors in staying connected, and ensuring youth have access to programs that help them succeed. This is how we bring Inspire the Future to life in our communities.”

Donations supported programs for at-risk youth, socially isolated seniors, campers, and families and individuals who may otherwise not have access to YMCA services. This support helps ensure the Y remains a place where everyone is welcome and no one is left behind.

“The success of this campaign belongs to our communities,” said Adams. “I want to thank the many donors, partners, volunteers and staff who stepped up, including 100 per cent of our Board of Directors and senior leadership team, who once again led by example through their personal support. Together, you are strengthening Eastern Ontario in meaningful ways.”

The YMCA of Eastern Ontario looks ahead with gratitude, knowing this year’s $468,000 will continue to support programs that build healthier, more connected communities for generations to come.
