Brockville Police Service Concludes 2025 Festive RIDE Campaign

Brockville – The Brockville Police Service has concluded its annual Festive RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Campaign, which ran from November 20th until January 1st, 2026.

Throughout the campaign, members conducted RIDE enforcement at various locations and times throughout the City, stopping more than 1100 vehicles.

While no impaired driving charges resulted directly from the campaign, police took enforcement action where warranted and continued to focus on education and deterrence.

As a result of these enforcement efforts:

  • -8 drivers were given roadside breath tests.
  • -1 driver received a 3-day suspension for registering a WARN.
  • -2 drivers were charged under the Liquor License Act.
  • -18 drivers were charged under the Highway Traffic Act.

In addition to the Festive RIDE campaign, five individuals were charged with impaired driving during the same time period as a result of separate investigations.

The Brockville Police Service remains committed to removing alcohol/drug-impaired drivers from our roads through ongoing proactive enforcement and public education. Members of the public are reminded that if they suspect someone is driving while impaired by alcohol/drugs, they should call 911 immediately.

The Brockville Police Service extends its appreciation to Tim Hortons for their ongoing support of the Festive RIDE campaign and their commitment to community road safety.
