Augusta Township – A GoFundMe fundraising effort has been started to support a local Augusta Township family after a devastating fire destroyed their new home and contracting business.
A family friend, Jessica McMillan, started a GoFundMe page to help Aislinn and Brandon Finlayson and their twin boys after a fire destroyed their new home, which he had spent many months building for his family.
While no one was seriously injured, the fire caused an unimaginable loss — months of hard work, building materials, and Brandon’s entire workshop and professional tools needed to run his contracting business. With his tools gone, he’s currently unable to work and provide for his family.
What was supposed to be an exciting final stretch toward moving into their own home has now turned into an overwhelming setback.
Funds raised will go toward:
- Replacing essential work tools and equipment
- Rebuilding materials and construction costs
- Supporting their family during this unexpected delay
- Helping them regain stability and independence
So far, $33,636 has been raised.
They say any amount helps more than you know. If you can’t donate, sharing the GoFundMe page makes a huge difference.
