
Brockville – On January 30th, 2026, at approximately 11:50 am, members of the Brockville Police Service conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation (HTA).
As a result of the investigation, two individuals, a thirty-three-year-old male and a twenty-eight-year-old female, were arrested for possession with the purpose of trafficking.
During the arrest, officers seized approximately two ounces of fentanyl, three ounces of methamphetamine, a quantity of suspected opioid pills, and a quantity of Canadian currency. The estimated street value of the drugs is $18,000.00.
Further investigation revealed that the thirty-three-year-old male was serving a Conditional Sentence Order (CSO) with a house arrest condition stemming from a previous drug trafficking conviction.
As a result of the investigation, police laid twelve counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, in addition to charges of possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.
Both accused were held for bail and remain in custody pending future court proceedings.
