Kemptville Downed Renfrew 8-2 Sunday in CCHL

Kemptville – The Kemptville 73’s earned an 8–2 win over the Renfrew Wolves on Sunday at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.

Kemptville established control early, scoring three times in the first period on goals by Venance, Kulas, and Mbarushimana. Renfrew briefly cut into the deficit in the second with a power-play goal from Lalande, but the 73’s responded with three unanswered goals from Venance, Voisey, and Achim to take a commanding lead.

Kemptville added two more in the third period through D’Arienzo and Ouellette, while Kettles scored Renfrew’s second goal of the afternoon. Donovan recorded the win for Kemptville, stopping 32 of 34 shots.

Renfrew goaltenders Ogini (18 saves on 23 shots) and Herman (14 saves on 17 shots) shared the crease in the loss.

The 73s host the Brockville Braves tonight at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. The puck drops at 7:00 pm.
