VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Braves Blank Kemptville 2-0 Wednesday Night in CCHL

Austin Caley Stuns K73s!

Kemptville – Shots were aplenty, but goals were scarce. Aidan Carolan & Ryan “The Rat” McNally scored the goals while Austin Caley barred the door, to lead the Braves to a 2-0 shutout of the Kemptville 73s.

It was an up-and-down hockey game, chances at both ends of the rink. Physical yet fast-paced. There was a plethora of penalties but no power-play goals. The Braves’ penalty killers impressed when they escaped unscathed from an extended 5-on-3 scenario.

Video Highlights:

Of course, your goalie has to be your best penalty killer. The Braves were undaunted as they faced the now nationally ranked Kemptville 73s and evened up the season series at 2 wins apiece.

Although the game appeared pretty even, there were times when the Braves just couldn’t clear out of their zone. Thus, the wide margin in shots is 48 – 30.

Tonight, the Braves host the Carleton Place Canadians at the Memorial Centre. Game time is 7:30 pm.
