Aeros Won 4-3 Over Carleton Place Sunday in EOJHL

Athens – The Athens Aeros won a 4-3 decision over the Carleton Place Junior Canadians on Sunday in EOJHL action at Centre 76.

Athens got on the board first with a goal from Jansen (Merkley) at just :35 into the first period. The Junior Canadians would also score in the first to tie the game at the end of the period. Boyer would score on a powerplay in the second period to give the Aeros a 2-1 lead.

In the third, Carleton Place would pick up two more on goals by Thompson (Box, Goussis) and Green. It would not be enough for the Jr. Canadians as Kealey (Panciuk, McGlade) and Boyer, his second of the game (Mines, White) each scored a goal in the third to win the game.
