
Brockville – The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation, in partnership with Brockville General Hospital, is proud to celebrate the first Wave of Gratitude presentation of the year, recognizing outstanding teams and individuals for their exceptional commitment to patient care.
These nominations reflect the heartfelt appreciation of patients and families who have experienced compassionate, high-quality care firsthand.

- Dr. Paul Shim, Orthopedic Clinic
- Dr. Karim Somani, General Surgery
- Dr. Adam Steacie, Palliative Care

We also celebrate the Ambulatory Care Team and the 2nd Floor Nursing Team on receiving their first nominations, and Surgical Services on achieving their third nomination.
This presentation marked exciting milestones across Brockville General. The Palliative Care Team has now received six overall nominations, reflecting the profound impact they have on patients and families during life’s most meaningful moments. The Emergency Department reached an impressive ten overall nominations, earning Silver Level recognition for their consistent excellence in care under pressure.
Each Wave of Gratitude award represents more than recognition — it symbolizes the deep appreciation of a community for teams who go above and beyond every day.
