Brockville – The Brockville Butterfly Run was held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Blockhouse Island, bringing together 119 participants of all ages for a meaningful day of remembrance, community, and support.
Participants took part in either a 2 km or 5 km walk/run, raising funds to support local pregnancy and infant loss resources and services. The event created a welcoming space for families, friends, and community members to honour families while helping to strengthen compassionate supports close to home.
In addition to the walk/run, attendees enjoyed a raffle featuring a generously donated basket made up of gift certificates and items from local businesses. Sincere thanks are extended to Heavenly Touch Spa, Jon’s Restaurant, Wild Little Roses, Clarity Hair, and Emily Goodknecht – Scentsy SuperStar Director for their generosity and community spirit.
Organizers were also deeply grateful to the event’s two Gold Level Sponsors. Elite Installs, specializing in residential door and window installations, provided valued support and can be reached at installs@outlook.com. All Out Home Inspection, offering full-service home inspections and related services, also contributed significantly to the success of the event and can be contacted at http://www.allouthomeinspection.ca.

Total proceeds from this event landed at an astounding $11,313. Individuals were able to choose between two local organizations who offer pregnancy and infant loss supports to receive their pledged funds: QueenCare – it’s a Mom Thing received $7,094, and Lachlan’s Light Canada received $4,219. Together with the Brockville Butterfly Run, these organizations have united to establish the Brockville Loss Network, collaborating to ensure families have access to compassionate care, resources, and support when they need it most.
