Brockville Police ‘Freezin’ for a Reason’ Polar Plunge in Support of Special Olympics Still Being Held This Saturday, March 7th

Brockville – The Brockville Police say that this year’s ‘Freezin’ for a Reason’ Polar Plunge in Support of Special Olympics is till being held this Saturday, March 7th at Centeen Park despite the weather forecast.

“We’ve seen the weather forecast for tomorrow, but we’ve decided to move forward with the Polar Plunge as planned in support of Special Olympics,” said Brockville Police in a Facebook statement.

They also said to please keep an eye on their social media tomorrow morning. If they experience a thunderstorm, the event will be postponed to a new date for everyone’s safety.

“Thank you for supporting the athletes of Special Olympics — let’s make a splash,” said Brockville Police

Come out and brave the cold, support an amazing cause, and enjoy a fun-filled event for all ages. Let’s make a splash for a great reason,” said Brockville Police.

Brockville Police will be joined by the Brockville Fire Department, Leeds & Grenville Paramedics, both Brockville radio stations, MyFM 104.9 and Giant FM 103.7 and others.

Registration starts at 10:00 AM. The cost to plunge is $10. The plunge starts at 10:30 am.

Donations are also welcome.
