VIDEO: Brockville Police Annual Polar Plunge in Support of Special Olympics Ontario Raises Over $4,000

Brockville – The annual Brockville Police Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics Ontario held this past Saturday, March 7th at Centeen Park has raised $4,100 in support of Special Olympics athletes.

There were over 40 participants who braved the cold waters of the St. Lawrence, including members of the Brockville Police Service, Leeds & Grenville Paramedics, local Special Olympics athletes, both Brockville radio stations, MyFM 104.9 and Giant FM 103.7 along with others participated in this years polar plunge.

The Brockville Police said they would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported the annual Polar Plunge.

“Your enthusiasm, generosity, and willingness to brave the cold make a real difference for these amazing athletes. Thank you for helping us continue to support such an important cause,” said the Brockville Police. “We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!”

The annual Polar Plunge and other fundraising activities through-out the year help to support training, competitions and opportunities for athletes locally and across Ontario.
