Athens – The Athens Aeros lost a 3-2 decision to the Richmond Royals on Thursday night in Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League action at Centre 76 in Athens.
Athens’ Alex Tornberg got the Aeros on the board in the first period at 2:19. Alex Seed picked up the assist.
Richmond would pick up two goals by Parker Stretch and Dylan Rorwick in the first to take the lead at the end of the period 2-1.
The Aeros would score another goal in the second period on an Andy Botting goal at 3:54 in the period tying the game 2-2.
In the third period, Rorwick would score his second goal of the game on the powerplay at :10 in the period.
Athens is in Perth this evening to play the Blue Wings. Game time is 7:30 pm
