Lansdowne – A 49-year-old man from the Greater Toronto Area is facing charges after the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Leeds County OPP intercepted and recovered two stolen vehicles in a transport truck on Tuesday.
Leeds OPP say on Tuesday just after 8:00 am they responded to assist Ministry of Transportation (MTO) officers with an inspection of a transport truck hauling a sea container.
In the container were two stolen vehicles. The transport driver
is facing two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000. Police say his identity cannot be disclosed at this time.
The accused appeared for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Tuesday morning and was remanded into custody.
