Prescott – The annual Leo Boivin International U18 AAA Showcase is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary this weekend in the Fort Town.
It runs from Thursday, March 28th to Sunday, March 31st at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre in Prescott.
Teams participating this year will include, the hometown team, South Grenville Rangers, Rideau St. Lawrence Kings, Ontario Hockey Academy, Eastern Ontario Wild, Upper Canada Cyclones, Gloucester Rangers, Nepean Raiders, Newmarket Renegades, Whitby Wildcats, Markham Majors and the Canadian International Hockey Academy.
Admission for the showcase is Adults, Weekend Pass – $20 and $8 daily. Seniors and U13 the weekend pass is $15 and $6 daily. U5 are admitted free.
Everything gets underway on Thursday night when the Rideau St. Lawrence Kings take on the Eastern Ontario Wild in Game 1 starting at 7:00 pm.
The Showcase continues on Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 pm. The home team, South Grenville Rangers play their first game at 12:30 pm on Friday playing the Ontario Hockey Academy (OHA).
Opening Ceremonies for the 50th Leo Boivin Showcase is being held Friday night starting at 6:30 pm followed by the Ranger’s second game of the tourney at 7:30 pm when they play the Newmarket Renegades.
Friday night is also Alumni Night, celebrating and recognizing all alumni, volunteers, players, team staff, referees and fans.
The showcase continues on Saturday from 8:00 am to 10:30 pm with the Ingredion Skills Competition being held at 3:30 pm.
Sunday play from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm with semi-final games. The championship game starts at 7:15 pm on Sunday.
Also, this Tuesday, March 26th, stop by the “Old Barn” for Prescott’s own “Speakers Corner!” at 444 Prince St, Prescott.

Inspired by CityTV’s Iconic “Speakers Corner”, join them Tuesday, March 26 from 3-6 at “The Old Barn” for Prescott’s own “Speakers Corner!”
They are looking for Prescotonions who are willing to speak on camera about their unfiltered thoughts and memories about The Leo Boivin Showcase, Prescott or anything in between to be used as a segment in “The Leo” Documentary.
Looking for any age and any generation from “The Leo’s” 50-year history!
