Located along the scenic shores of the St. Lawrence River in Eastern Ontario, Kingston Pen Tours, Upper Canada Village, and Fort Henry National Historic Site are among the most popular tourist destinations in the region. The historic sites allow guests to step back in time and interact with history through interpretation, demonstration and engaging story-telling.
One of the largest living history museums in Canada, Upper Canada Village invites guests to step back in time to 1866 and experience rural village life. The Village offers an immersive experience with more than 40 historic buildings, traditional trades, farming, music and 19th-century social life. Upper Canada Village opens to guests starting May 4, 2024.

At Fort Henry in Kingston, experience life in a British Military Garrison with daily military demonstrations, musical performances, and 19th-century interpretation of military life. Iconic special events such as Fort Henry Tattoo will return this season. Fort Henry lowers the drawbridge for guests beginning May 18, 2024.

Kingston Pen Tours offers an in-depth look at life behind the walls of Canada’s oldest maximum-security prison. The guided tours and first-hand accounts from retired corrections staff provide guests with a blend of the historic, cultural and criminological components of this storied institution. Kingston Pen Tours are currently open on weekends until May 8, which will be open 5 days per week and then 7 days per week starting May 29.
