
Brockville – The Brockville Police Service said in a media release issued Saturday afternoon that one person is deceased after a collision involving a pedestrian and train on Saturday morning.
Police update on Sunday, June 2nd: “Police have confirmed the identity of the deceased to be a 37-year-old, local male. Circumstances around the event are still under investigation, however, foul play has been ruled out.”
Police said they received a report of the collision shortly after 11:00 am on Saturday, just west of the Perth Street crossing on the CN mainline in Brockville. Officers responded and confirmed the death.
“We are currently in the initial stages of the investigation and no further information can be released at this time. Once able, we will provide further details.” said police.
