Prescott – The Prescott Fire Association is hosting the 112th Eastern Ontario Firefighters Association Convention and Games this weekend, Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th in Prescott.
The weekend will consist of a business meeting on Friday evening and the firefighter competition throughout the day on Saturday followed by a parade and awards ceremony.
On Saturday night the event wraps up with a dance at the Leo Boivin Community Centre featuring live entertainment by Healy & Orr.
The games on Saturday are free to the public and will see ten participating fire departments battle it out in a friendly competition showcasing their skills at the Leo Boivin Community Centre (south side along Dibble Street East).
Races start at 9:00 am with the “Dry” races in the morning and the “Wet” races in the afternoon.
Saturday’s Schedule:
- 8:30 AM – Opening Ceremony
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – EOFA Competition
7:00 PM – Parade Start
8:00 PM – Awards Presentation
9:00 PM – 1:00 AM – Entertainment by Healy & Orr @ The Leo Boivin Community Centre. Ages 19 and up.
Tickets for the dance Saturday night are $25 and are available through the Fire Department or at the door. Cash only for tickets / Cash Bar.
