Brockville – The City of Brockville announced today that the water main replacement on King Street West will start on Tuesday, July 9th from Rivers Avenue to Oak Street and continue until October 4th.
The Watermain Replacement contract was awarded to Clarence McDonald Excavating, and they will start on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
The work will include the replacement of the cast iron water main with new PVC pipe along with the respective restoration of the road base, asphalt surfaces, concrete and sod.
King Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic for the duration of the contract. Traffic will be controlled with the use of temporary traffic lights.
The city asks that motorists please drive slowly and anticipate short delays and minor traffic inconveniences.
The City’s Engineering Division will carry out supervision of construction.
