Spencerville Mill Foundation Hosting ‘Doc Mac Autumn Smash Fundraiser October 19th

Spencerville – The Spencerville Mill Foundation is hosting the Doc Mac Autumn Smash fundraiser on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the historic Spencerville Mill & Museum.

The event runs from 8:00 PM to midnight with doors opening at 7:30 PM and raises funds to support the Foundation’s efforts to preserve and maintain the heritage site, with proceeds going towards the ongoing restoration and programming of the mill.

The event pays homage to Dr. Pember McIntosh, an early 20th-century physician and beloved figure in Spencerville, whose family is credited with the discovery of the famous McIntosh apple. Known for his dedication to the community, Dr. McIntosh’s legacy lives on in the region’s history and culture.

The fundraiser will feature a pulled pork lunch box and live music by Healy and Orr, performing from 8:30 PM to midnight. Additional food and drink offerings for purchase include warm apple tarts with a shot of Apple Pie Moonshine, and other seasonal drinks and refreshments such as Ontario hard cider.

Tickets for the event are $35 per person (includes entry, live music, and a pulled pork lunch box) Tickets are limited to 100 attendees.

There will also be a fall-themed photo booth available with props, offering an opportunity for attendees to capture memories. Snap pics with your camera.

Those in attendance can participate in a variety of games, including Corn Hole and Apple Bowling, with winners receiving ballots for a prize draw.
