Godfrey – The Westport Lumberjacks won a 5-4 decision over the Frontenac Phantoms in Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) action in Godfrey Friday night.
Scoring for the Lumberjacks were #4 Calvin Wheatley (#13 Devon Burns, #55 Kylan Tavares) in the first period, #55 Kylan Tavares (#13 Devon Burns, #15 Tyler Murphy), #71 Jayden Boyer (#77 Jordan Ribbink) and #77 Jordan Ribbink (#13 Devon Burns, #4 Calvin Wheatley) in the second period.
The winning goal was scored by #29 Maverick Labrie (#5 Jake Mcarthur, #12 Alex Echlin) in the third period.
Westport was outshot 52 to 46 during the game.
The Lumberjacks will travel up the Rideau to play Smiths Falls this Saturday. Game time is 3:00 pm.
