Male Arrested In Toronto – Linked To Incidents in Eastern Ontario

Leeds County – A Toronto resident has been arrested for bail violations in connection with sexual offences in Leeds County.

The accused was wanted for failing to appear in court on charges. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in Toronto located the male in Toronto on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

The male was initially arrested in July of this year. An investigation found that youths had been contacted through an online app and had been encouraged to share sexually explicit photos and eventually meet with a man. When arrested in July, the accused was already in the custody of Gananoque Police on a separate matter.

Collie MORRIS, age 57, is currently charged with:

  • Invitation to sexual touching-under 16 years of age
  • Arrangement to commit a sexual offence against a person under 16 years of age
  • Makes, prints publishes or possesses child pornography for the purpose of publication
  • Fail to comply with a release order – two counts

The accused also uses the name Collin.

Investigators are concerned that there could be other victims. They want to hear from anyone who may have had encounters with the accused via an online app or in person.
