Spencerville – The holiday season kicks off in style with SpencerWHOville, a magical evening of festive fun for the whole family! Taking place on Saturday, November 30th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, this community celebration will transform Spencerville into a winter wonderland of lights, music, and joy.
This much-anticipated annual event features an array of activities, including:
- Outdoor Night Market (4:00–8:00 PM): Discover over 30 unique vendors and
talented local artisans at the market behind SpencerCity Bar & Grill. Warm up by the bonfire with a steaming cup of hot chocolate while you shop for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts. A portion of the vendor fees will benefit Connect Youth, who assist and support young people throughout Leeds & Grenville. - Visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus (4:00–5:30 PM): Capture magical memories with photo sessions (available for a fee) at Hubbard & Co. (15 Spencer Street). Enjoy a friendly visit with Santa and get creative with free crafting activities hosted by Mrs. Claus!
- Spencerville Community Choir Performance (5:30 PM): Gather at the Village Square for a heartwarming performance of holiday classics by the Spencerville Community Choir. Feel free to sing along to your favourite carols and spread the holiday cheer!
- Tree Lighting Ceremony (6:00 PM): Join Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal
Council and Santa Claus the for the official lighting of the community tree. Watch as the village is illuminated with festive lights, kicking off the holiday season in grand style. Decorations courtesy of the Spencerville & District Optimist Club. - Horse & Wagon Rides (6:00–8:00 PM): Delight in the nostalgic charm of jingle bells as you enjoy scenic horse and wagon rides provided by Kelly Farm. Rides depart from Spencerville United Church.
- SpencerWHOville Dancers (6:30 PM): Experience a lively and festive performance by students from the Academy of Expressive Dance, sure to dazzle and entertain!

This year, SpencerWHOville coincides with Small Business Saturday, a national movement dedicated to supporting small businesses that are the backbone of our communities. Visitors are encouraged to shop local, discover the unique offerings from Spencerville’s vibrant small business community, and find perfect holiday gifts while helping to strengthen the local economy. The Outdoor Night Market and participating downtown businesses are the perfect places to show your support.
During the event, non-perishable food donations for the South Grenville Food Bank will be accepted. Together with Augusta, Prescott, and Edwardsburgh Cardinal, are taking part in a Tri-Municipal Holiday Food Drive Challenge – a friendly competition for a truly great cause! Make a difference for those in need this holiday season. Every donation counts!
