Athens Aeros Won Both Weekend Games in EOJHL

Athens – The EOJHL’s Athens Aeros won both of their games over the weekend, beating the Glengarry Brigade on Friday night 7-3 and a 4-3 win over the Cassleman Vikings on Saturday.

In Friday’s game in Alexandria, the Aeros won 7-3 over the Glengarry Brigade and scored seven goals from Tanner Hawkins (Dulmage, McNulty), Cam McNulty (Thompson, Dulmage) and Nolan Dulmage (Hawkins) in the first period. McNulty (Dulmage) with his second of the game in the second and Tino Imerti (Palmer, Viau), Drew Hunter (McGlade, Blevins) and Drew Blevins (Clarke, Dixon) in the third.

Athens outshot Glengarry 44 to 39 in the game.

Saturday, the Aeros were in Cassleman where they won 4-3 over the Vikings. Scoring for Athens was Rhett Palmer (Curson, Dixon) on the powerplay in the first period, Jacob Dixie (McGlade, Thompson), and Alex McGlade (Palmer) on the powerplay in the second and the third from Gavin Clarke (Dixon).

Cassleman did outshoot the Aeros 48 to 33 during the game.

Athens will face the Packers in Arnprior this Friday night starting at 7:30 pm.
