Prescott – The South Grenville Senior Rangers downed the Pontiac Senior Comets 6-2 on Saturday in EOSHL at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre in Prescott.
Geoff Dempster (Ryley Egan, Max Bush) scored the first goal for the Rangers in the first period.
In the second, Pontiac’s Jonathan Bourcier (Alexandre Landreville, #Matthew Warren) would tie it up at 1-1 on his goal. South Grenville’s Max Bush (Ryley Egan, Geoff Dempster) would score one for the Rangers to take the lead 2-1 for the Rangers.
Jonathan Bourcier (Alexandre Landreville) would pick up another for the Comets in the second to tie it at 2-2 at the end of the period.
It was all South Grenville in third where they picked up four more on goals by Ronnie Harrison (Rylan Iwachniuk, Tanner Schroeder), Zachary Lefebvre (Broydon Stufko, Brandon Gilmour), Broydon Stufko (Adam Watson, Brandon Gilmour) and Kristian Knapp (Adam Watson, Brandon Gilmour) to take the win 6-2.
The Senior Rangers will travel to the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria on Saturday night to play the Glengarry Pipers. The puck drops at 7:30 pm
