Brockville – Snakes & Ladders – Chutes & Ladders. The Braves rolled the dice last night and climbed into a virtual tie for 5th. Those two big points were taken from the game versus Kemptville (2 – 1 Brave win) and allowed the Braves to climb to those lofty heights from 8th place where they had stagnated.
In perhaps their most offensive thrust of the season the Braves peppered the 73s goalie Jones with close to 50 shots Ryan Gerlich in the Braves net was not tested nearly that much but what they lacked in quantity, the 73s made up in quality shots and Ryan Erlich stood the test.
We thought that Zach Biniaris could have had a hat trick in one shift alone early in the game. Scoring chances were abundant last night for all 4 lines. Dostaler, Dinis and Buller were most notable in players that were denied more than once.
The D corps proved its worth again last night, already compromised into utilizing yet another AP, the group was shrunk early when rookie sensation Grady Spicer was turfed on a hit-from-behind call. But they, like Ryan Erlich weathered the storm by turning the game into a highly offensive one, playing large stretches of time in the Kemptville end.
The Braves travel to Nepean to take on the Raiders on Sunday. Game time there is 2:30 pm.
