Brockville – The Upper Canada District School Board was hit with a cyber incident earlier this week which disrupted their network and affected the internet and their email.
They posted on January 5th about it saying to contact the schools and boards by phone if needed. They also stated that they have contacted the police and are working with trusted experts to assess the impact and restore services.
Today, Wednesday, January 8th they posted an update to the situation.
“We are still experiencing disruptions to services across all of our schools and working around the clock to safely restore access and assess the impact of this cyber incident.
These disruptions are technological in nature and do not pose any risk to student safety. Our schools will remain open and operating in a non-digital environment – which is proving to be a learning opportunity for everyone.
My Family Room is among the services that continue to be offline. If your child is going to be away, please call the school so they know your child is safe. Attendance is being taken manually and if students are not present, the school will call the parent/guardian on file. There will be no automatic calls.
If you are attempting to register your child for school, you can go into your local school and register in person.

Thank you,
