
Tweed – The Westport Lumberjacks lost a 7-4 decision to the Tweed Oil Kings on Sunday in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL)
action in Tweed.
The Lumberjacks got on the scoreboard first with two goals from Michael Anson, a single and then with assistance from Jayden Boyer in the first period.
Tweed would score one at the end of the first.
In the second period, Westport’s Andrew Dekroon (Jayden Boyer, Jake Mcarthur) would score one more goal for the Lumberjacks. Tweed would pick up two more in the second period.
The Oil Kings would score four more goals in the third period. The Lumberjacks picked up one more in the third from Tyler Ollson.
Tweed outshot Westport 54 to 25 during the game.
The Lumberjacks will travel to Gananoque on Saturday to face the Islanders. Game time is 7:30 pm at the Lou Jefferies.
