VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Braves Lost 8-3 to Rockland Friday Night in CCHL

Brockville – When the 6th best team in Canada plays #9 in the CCHL. The Rockland Nationals won an 8-3 decision over the Brockville Braves on Friday night in CCHL action at the Memorial Centre.

Did the schedule makers (and CJHL National rankings) lull us into a false sense of security? Was the Braves schedule too easy for the first month or two? Dustin R. Traylen warned us but who listened?

Did Friday night’s game follow the same pattern? We started with an early goal, thanks to Kellen Dostaler. Fought back to tie it at 3-3, what a solo effort by Charlie Poudrette, and then the bottom fell out.

We can’t point any fingers but I can say, it’s better to make mistakes in a game like last night and against the runaway league leaders than in a close game with a rival who is fighting for that playoff spot.

It’s a new month and we are heading into the final stretch. These guys can do it!
