Intimate Partner Violence Leads to Arrest

Brockville – On March 4, 2025, at about 5:45 pm, police received a 911 call regarding information of a female in distress. The location was a residence on Glengarry Rd. where children were present.

Officers responded quickly and the investigation revealed that the female victim and her 42-year-old, boyfriend were involved in a dispute. It escalated to the point that the male subject
assaulted her by slamming her on the ground and then choking her.

The subject was placed under arrest and charged with the offences of assault and overcoming resistance by choking. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
