Bunnies Lose A Pair of Games to Montreal Titans 18u on Canada Day

Brockville – The Brockville Bunnies lost both of their games with the Montreal Titans 18u on Canada Day on Tuesday,

Bunnies scored enough runs, but the pitching and defence that allowed too many second chances were just too much to overcome.

Starting a tournament on Thursday, so pitching depth was challenged vs the Titans.

In game one, the Titans beat the Bunnies 9-7. John Huntley started going four innings and giving up four earned runs. Wyatt Brandwood with the loss in relief, with Hunter Sanger finishing up.

Adam Bergman with a big day at the plate with his first career Bunnies homerun and collected a double and single to finish with three hits. Wyatt Last had two hits with Charlie Todd doubling and singles by Aaron Roy, Mark Bowlby, Ben Buxton, Sanger and Brandwood.

In game two, the Titans won 21-7 over the Bunnies 7. Charlie Todd started going two innings, allowing two runs, both unearned. Normal situation stays in the game, and the outcome may be different. Roy, with the loss in relief struggling with command. Last, Buxton and Ryan Robinson finished up.

Todd continued much improve at the bat with three singles. Sanger connected for a deep homerun up in the trees in left and doubled. Bergman and Last with two hits apiece. Lukus Doak and Buxton singled.

Hopefully, the team can put it all together this weekend in a four-day tournament vs some strong competition in Plattsburgh, NY. Thursday, the Bunnies play the Ottawa Cardinals, Friday the Bunnies play the host and strong Clinton County Mariners and the Diamonds Sr Academy, and then on Saturday they play Adrean Post NJ with possibly semis on Sunday, but that’s up to us.
