City of Brockville Civic Holiday Schedule

Brockville – The Civic Holiday is an important and unique holiday across Canada that allows us to celebrate local heroes, culture and history. We especially honour all the people who make Brockville the best place to live in and visit. This link will take you to things to do while you celebrate the Civic Holiday long weekend.

Municipal administrative services closed on Monday, August 4th, include:

  • City Hall (1 King Street West)
  • Gord Watts Municipal Centre (251 North Augusta Road)
  • Wastewater Treatment Centre (1807 County Road 2 East)
  • Water Filtration Plant (20 Rivers Avenue)

City services and facilities long weekend changes:

Brockville Tourism, Visitor Information Centre:

  • Location: 16 Market Street East
  • Regular hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day, seven days a week, with some holiday exceptions
  • Open on Civic Holiday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Watch for our Tourism Ambassadors out and about!

Waste and Recycling Collection:

No service on Monday, August 4th, 2025
Collection will be on the following day of your regular pick up. Please put out your items one day after your usual collection day for the week of August 4th to August 8th
