
North Augusta – The 95th annual North Augusta Labour Day Festival is being held this weekend from Friday, August 29th to Monday, September 1st.
The event, which is an annual tradition and a highlight of the summer for the community, includes a parade, a baseball tournament, a car show, and other family-friendly activities.
Friday will see a mixed rec slo-pitch tournament, live band Accidental, an Euchre tourney, and a kids’ movie. This year, due to the fire bans, there will be no fireworks.
On Saturday, there will be a village-wide garage sale, a car show & swap meet, a horseshoe tournament, kids’ inflatables, face painting, riverside swing demo.
Live music on Saturday will include Deb Currier, James King and The Lads.
Sunday will feature the old timers fastball tourney, arts & crafts at the community hall, and a car rally. Live music on Sunday includes CC & Company and Jimmi Martin.
Labour Day Monday will see a pie booth, Horse-drawn carriage rides, kids’ carnival, bingo, Jujitsu demos, Frog jumping contest, Jello eating contest, egg toss and more.
The feature of the day is the Labour Day Parade, which will begin at noon. The theme is Made in Canada!
