
Brockville – The 21st annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Run (NPOMR)- “Run to Remember” is making its annual stop in Brockville this Friday, September 26th, around 5:00 pm at Court House Green.

Over 300 runners from across Canada & family members of the fallen; S.O.L.E (Survivors of Law Enforcement) will gather to kick off the 3-day, 460 km run on Thursday, September 25th, at the Ontario Police Memorial at Queen’s Park starting at 8:00 am, to raise funds for the Canadian Police and Peace Offices Memorial, honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
They will travel east along Highway 2, stopping along the way and arrive in Ottawa on Saturday at the National Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial on Parliament Hill, to honour those who died in the line of duty. The memorial run is a lead-up to the Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Service being held on Sunday, September 28th, on Parliament Hill.
Participants will be running through eastern Ontario from Thursday to Saturday, travelling along Highway 2. On Friday, Day 2, the runners will travel through Trenton, Belleville, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Napanee, Kingston, and Gananoque and finish up for the night in Brockville with a brief welcome ceremony on Courthouse Green around 5:00 pm..
Saturday morning is the last leg from Brockville to Ottawa, and the runners will leave the city around 8 am.
