Crime Prevention Week Takes Place November 2 to 8, 2025!
Brockville – The Brockville Police Serv
ice, in partnership with the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) and the Government of Ontario, is proud to take part in Ontario’s annual Crime Prevention Week, running from November 2–8, 2025.
This year’s theme, “Working Together to Protect Ontario,” emphasizes that crime prevention is everyone’s responsibility—it takes the combined efforts of police, government, community partners, businesses, and residents to protect our neighbourhoods.
Preventing crime begins with strong relationships. Crime hurts people who live in our community. When someone is a victim of a crime, we all suffer. When our police officers, community members, and local organizations work hand in hand, we create real solutions that reduce victimization and promote safety for everyone.
Throughout the week, the Brockville Police Service will join other police services across Ontario in focusing on four key priorities:
- Crimes Against Persons – Preventing violence and harm through education,
awareness, and proactive policing. - Crimes Against Businesses – Partnering with the business community to address
theft, fraud, and property-related crimes. - Reducing Victimization – Empowering residents through prevention programs and
support services. - Justice Reform and Bail Reform – Supporting ongoing reforms that ensure
accountability and enhance community safety.
Crime Prevention Week reminds us that safety starts with collaboration.
