Brockville – On December 5, 2025, at about 1:30 am, a 32-year-old male attended the Brockville Police Service reporting that he was being followed and harassed. The subject stated he had travelled from Kawartha Lakes to Cornwall and expressed concerns about ongoing harassment.
Investigation revealed the same individual had visited another police service previously with similar complaints. During the interaction in Brockville, officers observed signs of impairment and grounds were formed to arrest the subject for impaired operation by a drug.
The driver was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and performed poorly on the assessment. As a result, the subject has been charged with Impaired Operation by Drug. Their driver’s licence was suspended, vehicle impounded, and released with conditions, including a future court date.
The Brockville Police Service reminds the public that impaired driving—whether by alcohol or drugs—poses a serious risk to everyone on our roads. We encourage everyone to contact the police if you suspect a driver is impaired, and help us reduce the risk for everyone in our community.
