Brockville – BGC South East is proud to announce the expansion of its services into Leeds & Grenville beginning January 2026, bringing a new range of high-quality programs and strengthened supports to children, youth, and families across the region.
To celebrate this milestone, BGC South East hosted a community event on December 16th at Brockville Hyundai, gathering community leaders, organizations and supporters to learn more about upcoming programs.
The event also celebrated the annual “Shed Some Joy” Holiday Raffle, organized by Brockville Hyundai in support of BGC South East. The raffle will support BGC South East’s mentoring, STEM, robotics, and literacy programs in Leeds & Grenville.
“We appreciate the amazing support of the community, and are now at over $187,000 raised for the raffle. Our goal for this campaign is $300,000 to give the Club a warm welcome to build their programs in our community,” says Dane Fellows at Brockville Hyundai.
The raffle offers the chance for amazing daily prizes, with the grand prize of an Amish Shed equipped with a wood stove, TV, and couch, valued at over $20,000.
As part of this expansion, BGC South East is partnering with St. Lawrence College to open a new program location focused on Literacy, Education, STEM, and Robotics programming. This partnership will deliver innovative, skill-building opportunities that help young people explore their interests, build confidence, and reach their full potential. The Club is also committed to continuing all school-based mentoring programs, which have long played a vital role in supporting the social and emotional development of local children and youth.
“From everyone at SLC, we congratulate BGC South East on the expansion of their amazing community programming and services in Brockville,” said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. “We look forward to having their programs, services, and community be part of our campus. Their programs and approach align naturally with ours, and I am excited to see what opportunities this will bring.”
“We are grateful for the warm welcome from the community, including St Lawrence College, Brockville Hyundai, and community champions,” notes Harold Parsons, Chief Executive Officer at BGC South East. “ Their support is helping us bring vital new opportunities that will inspire young people to learn and grow through innovative programs.”
Entering its last week, holiday raffle tickets are for sale at Brockville Hyundai, The Butcher Shop or the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds & Grenville office. The community is encouraged to support the raffle for great chances to win and benefit local youth.
