Brockville – The Kemptville 73’s picked up two points over the Brockville Braves with a 6–3 victory on Friday night at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
Kemptville jumped out to a 3–0 lead in the first period with goals from D’Arienzo (shorthanded), Ouellette, and Mullins. Brockville got on the board in the second period with a goal from Lowry, but Kemptville responded shortly after with a marker from Redmond to restore a three-goal cushion.
The Braves made a push early in the third period with goals from Buller and Lumsden on the power play to cut the deficit, before Kemptville sealed the win with goals from McDougall and an empty-netter by Achim.
In goal, Donovan stopped 22 of 25 shots for Kemptville, while Caley made 16 saves on 19 shots and Galbraith turned aside 20 of 22 in relief for Brockville.
