
Brockville – On February 8th at approximately 1:00 am police conducted a traffic stop on Hamilton Street within the City of Brockville. Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen and the lone male driver was subsequently placed under arrest.
A search of the vehicle resulted in officers locating improperly stored firearm ammunition, as well as multiple debit cards not bearing the name of the accused.
At the time of the incident, the accused was on two separate probation orders issued by the Quebec Court. One probation order was for impaired driving, with a condition not to operate a motor vehicle and the second probation order was for assault with a weapon, with a condition not to possess weapons or ammunition.
The accused was also bound by a release order on the 6th of January, 2026 by the Quebec Court for charges including criminal harassment, break and enter, forcible confinement, uttering threats, and personating a police officer. As part of that release order, the accused was required to be at a specific residence between the hours of 9:00pm and 6:00am.
As a result of this investigation, the twenty five year old accused from Quebec, has been charged with the following offences:
- -Possession of stolen property
- Careless storage of ammunition
- -Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited
- -Fail to comply with release order
- -Fail to comply with probation order.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
