
Brockville – On February 25th 2026 at approximately 3:07 pm, police received reports of a male driver swerving in and out of his lane, travelling into oncoming traffic and nearly causing a collision.
The vehicle was then observed leaving the roadway and entering the ditch off of Stewart Blvd. Officers attended the scene and as a result of investigation, a thirty five year old driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The accused was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
No injuries were sustained as a result of the single motor vehicle collision. The accused received a ninety day administrative driver’s license suspension and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
The accused, from Iroquois was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 10th.
Then on the 26th of February 2026 at approximately 00:16 am a male driver was observed driving in an erratic manner, narrowly avoiding a collision with a marked police cruiser. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and the fifty six year old driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The accused was ultimately charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle by alcohol, impaired operation of a motor vehicle with over 80mgs of alcohol in blood and failing to yield from a private drive.
As a result of the charges, the accused received a ninety day administrative driver’s license suspension and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
The accused, of Brockville was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on April 10th.
